Job summary

Baptist Senior Family is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate care to residents in a supportive environment. The role includes medication administration, ADL assistance, care plan documentation, IV therapy, and supervising nurse aides. A PA LPN license and valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Team-oriented with flexibility and problem-solving skills.
• Must hold a current Class C Pennsylvania Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician, and in accordance with current practice standards.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and meal services.
• Ensures restorative and rehabilitative care plans are performed and documented accurately.
• Performs IV therapy and assists with admissions and discharges.
• Directs nurse aides in providing resident care and maintains a team-oriented approach.
• Documents information in nurses’ records, care plans, and flow sheets as per regulation.
• Ensures infection control practices and safety protocols are followed.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in nursing procedures and vital signs interpretation.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families, and visitors.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and keeps current with regulatory standards.
