Orlando Health Medical Group in Florida is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide and document individualized patient care, including patient evaluation, education, medication administration, IV therapy, and safety as directed by the RN or provider.

This role requires a Florida nursing license, successful IV therapy course within 30 days for inpatient/SNF, and current BLS certification; the team emphasizes safe, compassionate care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Nursing School Graduate
• Successful completion of a 30-hour IV therapy course within 30 days of hire for inpatient/SNF only.
• Current nursing license in the State of Florida
• Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in advanced practical nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment.
• Communicates appropriate information regarding the patient’s condition to the RN and other members of the healthcare team.
• Assists RN or provider during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data, and patient education according to Orlando Health and department specific guidelines.
• Able to perform triage functions and determine next steps in care with the department team.
