Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an LPN to provide direct patient care including IV therapy within the scope of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act. The role reports to a registered nurse and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Required: High school diploma and LPN license in the state of practice; BLS from the American Heart Association. IV therapy credentials are preferred. This is an on-site position in Louisiana.

This job provides direct care (including IV therapy) of assigned patients within the framework of the Licensed Practical Nurse Act under the direction of a registered nurse. Directs and assists ancillary nursing staff with assigned duties and interacts with the multidisciplinary team and other personnel. Demonstrates professional responsibilities and is responsible for own practice and assists other members of the healthcare team in providing the highest quality personalized patient care.

Education

Required -High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Experience

Required -None.

Certifications

Required -Current licensed practical nursing (LPN) license in state of practice.

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred - IV therapy credentials.
