Job summary

Kannapolis Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a qualified Second Shift Supervisor (RN or LPN) to join our team. If you are a compassionate, skilled nurse with leadership experience, you will mentor nursing staff, ensure quality patient care, and drive positive outcomes.

As a Unit Manager, you will oversee clinical nurses and CNAs, coordinate staffing, supervise documentation, and support residents and families.

Qualifications

  • Active LPN or RN license in good standing.
  • At least 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in skilled nursing or long-term care).
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing leadership or administrative experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for patient-centered care and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise & support nursing staff to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Direct patient care & treatment planning with adherence to standards.
  • Coordinate & manage staffing needs, including hiring support.
  • Monitor & ensure documentation compliance with regulations.
  • Resolve resident & family concerns and uphold resident rights.
  • Assist in staff development and preceptor training.
  • Drive innovation and quality improvement for better outcomes.

Looking for qualified Second Shift Supervisor (RN or LPN) to join our team!

As a Unit Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring that residents receive exceptional care while supporting and developing a strong team of nurses and CNAs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on residents, families, and staff.

Major Responsibilities
  • Supervise & Support Nursing Staff - Oversee Clinical Nurses and Nurse Assistants to ensure high-quality, compassionate care.
  • Direct Patient Care & Treatment Planning - Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, implement treatment plans, and ensure compliance with care standards.
  • Coordinate & Manage Staffing Needs - Ensure adequate staffing coverage, assist in hiring, and support team development.
  • Monitor & Ensure Documentation Compliance - Maintain accurate resident records and ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Resolve Resident & Family Concerns - Work with families and staff to address grievances and maintain resident rights.
  • Assist in Staff Development - Mentor nursing staff and participate in training programs, including Preceptor Training.
  • Drive Innovation & Quality Improvement - Implement new ideas and processes to enhance patient outcomes and facility operations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Active LPN or RN License in good standing.
  • At least 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting).
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing leadership or administrative experience.
