Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to render direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies. You will participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse within an assigned clinical area.

Qualified candidates hold GA LPN licensure, graduate from an accredited PN program, and BLS certification. Experience and additional certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP) may be preferred for certain units.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned patients per Northside Hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care.
• Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.

Responsibilities

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of Northside Hospital. LPNs participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. LPNs work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

• One (1) year of experience as an LPN.
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
