Northside Hospital is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to render direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care within an assigned clinical area at our Atlanta-area facility.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program with current Georgia LPN licensure and BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP or other specialized certifications may be preferred depending on unit needs.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current GA LPN license.
• BLS certification is required. ACLS/PALS/NRP or other clinical certifications may be preferred for some units.

Responsabilités

• Render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital policies and procedures.
• Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in the assigned clinical area.

Formation

Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing

Current licensure as LPN in Georgia

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

ACLS / PALS / NRP or other clinical certifications

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients, in accordance with the philosophy, policies and procedures of Northside Hospital. LPNs participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. LPNs work under the direction of the Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
2. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
3. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

1. One (1) year of experience as an LPN.
2. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
3. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
