Job summary

You will also participate in QA and regulatory surveys, and assist with discharge planning and medication administration.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse with current state license.
• Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
• Good leadership qualities and ability to supervise CNAs.
• Organized, detail-oriented and patient-focused in a long-term care setting.
• Effective communication with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules and guidelines.
• Supervise nursing staff to ensure adherence to policies and care plans.
• Plan shift services and activities with your team and support personnel.
• Maintain nursing documentation, charts, and discharge plans according to policy.
• Administer medications as ordered and verify resident identity.
• Monitor residents and coordinate with physicians on care plans.
• Participate in quality assurance and regulatory surveys.
• Attend in-service education and uphold confidentiality and safety standards.
