Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Novice Nurse – Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse with less than 12 months of experience for a dedicated training program. You will work one-on-one with a patient in the home setting, gaining hands-on experience in direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking with 24/7 clinical supervision.

The program provides training, mentorship, and real-time feedback from experienced Maxim nurses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active LPN/LVN License.
• Current BLS Certification.
• PPD or chest X-Ray if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and/or contracted services.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitors effectiveness and progress toward goals.
• Intervenes for changes in condition and reports to supervisor/physician.
• Documents all physician collaboration in the medical record and communicates as needed.
• Monitors safety and effectiveness of environment and equipment including universal precautions.

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Novice Nurse –Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (< 12 months of experience)

The Novice Nurse Training Program at Maxim Healthcare is designed to provide a unique training opportunity for new grad LPN/LVNs, and those with less than one year of experience. You'll partner with an experienced Maxim nurse who will provide real-time feedback, training opportunities, and mentorship.

Within this program, you will be gaining hands-on experience by working 1-on-1 with a patient within the home setting. You will have the opportunity to learn direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking skills with the 24/7 support of the clinical supervising team.
