Cayuga Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care and support to physicians at two Ithaca-area locations. Strong communication and flexibility are essential to succeed in a busy practice.

The role requires NYS LPN licensure, graduation from an accredited LPN program, and clinical competency. You will perform routine clinical duties, record vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist with patient flows and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Current NYS licensure as an LPN.
• Demonstrated clinical competency.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of diseases and treatment.
• Ability to apply aseptic technique and sterilization.
• Knowledge of the practice management system, EMR and scheduling protocols.
• Basic keyboard skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of accuracy in performing responsibilities.
• Exceptional service attitude and communication style.

Responsabilités

• Perform clinical duties in accordance with LPN scope of practice and NYS laws.
• Carry out all assigned clinical procedures for patient comfort and well-being.
• Take and record patient vitals.
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment per protocols.
• Assist physicians with procedures, patient care and scheduling.
• Provide call management for clinicians regarding questions, refills, test results.
• Prepare patient records for visits.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss roles and processes.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and committees.
