Job summary

Qualifications

• English communication required in speaking and writing.
• Arrhythmia course completion is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and expresses sensitivity to their needs and condition.
• Assesses and documents patient condition, including chief complaint, vital signs, weight, medications, and social history.
• Records services and diagnoses accurately for encounter forms, requisitions, consent forms, and advance beneficiary notices.
• Assists providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments per established protocols.
• Performs venipunctures and x-ray procedures independently per protocols.
• Maintains medical records, prepares charts, and files correspondence and test results.
• Coordinates care through patient calls, appointment scheduling, and prescription refills per protocols.
• Utilizes EMR and other computer applications to accomplish tasks per policies and procedures.
• Tracks tests, procedures, and referrals; administers medications as directed by order.
• Educates patients on wellness per provider guidance.
