Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Grand Junction, Colorado, facility. The role supports patient care under supervision, administering medications and aiding with daily living activities.

The position requires upcoming LPN licensure in the state, BLS-HCP at hire (or within 60 days), and possible IV certification depending on unit. Prior clinic or hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in state of practice.
• BLS-HCP certification required at hire or within 60 days.
• IV certification may be required by facility; obtain in state within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and check-in; orient patients and complete forms.
• Prepare and administer medications within scope; assist with activities of daily living.
• Obtain and track specimens; document care and update care plans.
• Communicate with RN, physicians, or practitioners about patient changes and educate patients.
• Follow regulatory standards and participate in quality improvement; mentor staff if needed.
