Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO seeks an LPN for Med/Surg on a part-time basis (24 hours/week).

The position includes a night shift schedule (7:00pm – 7:00am) with responsibilities to provide nursing care under supervision, use the nursing process, and coordinate care with other departments. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program and a current LPN license in Missouri, with adherence to State Board requirements.

Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128

Schedule: Part time | 24 hours/week

Shift: Days 7:00pm - 7:00am

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program. Consideration will be given to candidates with comparable education, relevant experience, and successful licensure
• Licensure: Must obtain and keep a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state where nursing duties are performed. The individual is responsible for meeting and maintaining all State Board of Nursing requirements.

One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position, unit assignment, or must be obtained within the department’s specified timeframe:

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
• S.T.A.B.L.E. Program (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, and Emotional Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) through the American Heart Association (required within 30 days of hire)
• LPN-IV Certification (Missouri only) – must be completed prior to hire or within 3 months of hire
• Additional unit-specific certifications as required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout each shift
• Ability to perform essential physical functions, including gripping, reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting to carry out job responsibilities
