Responsibilities

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements. The nurse functions within the framework of their license and the organization's policies and procedures, demonstrating professional growth and accountability. They guide ancillary staff, collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality nursing care, and blend compassion, caring, and technological competency to provide holistic patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an LPN program
• Experience: New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible
• Licensure: Current license in Georgia as an LPN or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
• Certifications: BLS certification required

Additional Qualifications

• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area (preferred)
• Hospital setting nursing experience (preferred)
• For Emergency Department roles: ALS/ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of start date
