Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking an LPN for the Med/Surg unit to provide nursing care under supervision, using the nursing process and protecting patient rights.

This 12-hour shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a supportive, collaborative team culture.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program and hold a current MO LPN license; additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Must hold a current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, and BLS preferred or required within timeframe.
• Ability to meet state board nursing requirements and maintain licensure.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under licensed supervision.
• Coordinates patient care with multiple departments while protecting patient rights and confidentiality.
• Assists in med/surg unit operations and supports team of healthcare professionals.
