Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nurse program and current non-restricted Ohio LPN license
• Completion of an approved pharmacology course
• Current CPR certification required
• Up to date immunizations as required by MVHC
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Administers medications within scope
• Prepares examination room for patients and providers
• Performs routine patient procedures (vital signs, routine lab work, anthropometrics) as directed
• Assists with patient care tasks such as pap tests, pelvic exams, procedures, and dressings
• Obtains informed consent and schedules tests/referrals
• Prepares patients for diagnostics tests and collects specimens
• Maintains medical records documentation and lab results
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Precepts new staff and participates in quality improvement activities
