Park Nicollet Health Services is hiring an LPN, MA or EMT to join our Women’s Services team. This role supports providers with direct patient care, rooming, vitals, medications and immunizations, under PNHS policies.

The position offers a 4-day work week, 32 hours, and a collaborative, inclusive environment. BLS certification is required (online courses not accepted) and state licenses or program credentials must be maintained.

Qualifications

  • BLS certification for health professionals required and maintained; online BLS not acceptable.
  • LPN: state license with 1+ year nursing experience preferred.
  • MA: graduation from an accredited MA program; 1+ year experience preferred.
  • EMT: MN EMT license; EMT program completion; BLS required.

Responsibilities

  • Escort patients to exam rooms and document visit information (height, weight, BP).
  • Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by the clinician.
  • Ensure all components of the rooming process are completed and compliant with PNHS policies.

Position Summary

Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, aids providers in accordance with PNHS standard and policies.

As part of our team, you will be providing care for patients which may include the following duties:

  • Escorting patients to exam rooms and appropriately document visit information such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
  • Preparing and administering medications and immunizations' as directed by the clinician
  • Ensuring all the components of the standard rooming process are completed.
  • Maintaining knowledge of, and complying with, all relevant laws regulations and policies, procedures and standards.
Work Schedule
  • 4 days per week, varies Monday-Friday
  • 32 hours per week
Required Qualifications

This role requires a BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross required and maintained. Online BLS certification is not acceptable.

We are open to filling this position with an LPN, MA, ATC or EMT. Requirements for each are outlined below:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing. Must maintain a current state license of practical nursing. One or more years of nursing experience is desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Medical Assistant (MA): Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine). Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current MN EMT License. Current BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required and maintained. On-line BLS certification is not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications

One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).
