Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Louisville, KY is seeking a Novice Nurse – Licensed Practical Nurse/LVN with less than 12 months of experience for a home-based care training program. Hourly pay ranges from $28 to $32.

You will gain hands-on, one-to-one patient care in the home, including vent/trach/g-tube management, under the 24/7 supervision of a clinical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active LPN/LVN license.
• Current CPR.
• PPD or chest X-Ray if applicable.
• Commitment to work directly with the patient at a minimum of 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and/or contracted services.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitors effectiveness.
• Intervenes for changes in condition and reports to supervisor/physician.
• Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record.
• Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, including universal precautions.

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Novice Nurse –Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (< 12 months of experience)

The Novice Nurse Training Program at Maxim Healthcare offers a unique training opportunity for new grad LPNs/LVNs and those with less than one year of experience. You'll partner with an experienced Maxim nurse who will provide real-time feedback, training opportunities, and mentorship.

In this program, you will gain hands-on experience working 1-on-1 with a patient in the home setting. You will have the opportunity to learn direct patient care, vent/trach/g-tube management, and critical thinking skills with the 24/7 support of the clinical supervising team.
