Grifols is seeking a Center Medical Specialist in Iowa City to evaluate donor eligibility and provide education on health topics. The role requires an LPN/LVN license and CPR certification, with a focus on donor safety and confidentiality.

You will perform medical history assessments, build donor rapport, manage adverse events, and support staff training while contributing to Grifols’ comprehensive donor program and patient care culture.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse with current state licensure.
• CPR certification required.

Responsabilités

• Perform physical examination and establish donor medical history to determine donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure overall donor satisfaction.
• Maintain donor and staff confidentiality.
• Educate donors about general health and counseling regarding test results.
• Evaluate and manage donor injuries or adverse events.
• Assess medical history or medications to ensure continued donor suitability.
• Assist in employee training.
• Administer employee Hepatitis B vaccination program.

Job Requirements

• Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocation Nurse.
• CPR certification required.
