Job summary
Sanford Health in Mountain Lake, MN, is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide professional nursing care in our long-term care facility under the supervision of RNs and physicians.
The role offers varied shifts, a 24-hour weekly schedule, and generous night/weekend differentials, with education opportunities and daily access to earnings. A robust benefits package is included for full-time or part-time status.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
- IV therapy/management skills may be required (North Dakota context) as applicable.
- Must hold an unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board and/or multi-state licensure.
- Completes required CEU and competency training.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates nursing principles for residents in long-term care under supervision of a registered nurse, APN or physician.
- Administers medications or treatments as ordered and documents outcomes.
- Maintains health, comfort and safety of residents and communicates clearly while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assesses residents and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team.
- Counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans; supports self-care education.
