Job summary

AMI Expeditionary Healthcare is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to deliver direct nursing care in long-term care facilities in the Gettysburg, PA area. The role includes administration of medications, assessments, documentation, and coordination with physicians.

We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts across day, evening, and night rotations. Shift differentials may apply; strong teamwork and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in long-term care communities.
• Active unrestricted Pennsylvania license/certification.
• Current BLS Certification (hands-on component).
• MatrixCare experience preferred, EHR required.
• Successful completion of pre-employment requirements (background check, drug screen).
• Ability to work as part of a healthcare team.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee routine nursing care within the LPN scope, including assessments, rounds, treatments, medication administration, and emergency response.
• Monitor resident condition, communicate with physicians, obtain orders, coordinate services (wound care, hospice, behavioral health, labs, radiology).
• Lead admissions, care planning, documentation, and interdisciplinary communications.
• Supervise and train personal care attendants, resident assistants, and medication technicians; schedule and coverage.
• Support quality and regulatory standards through audits, QA activities, and concerns resolution.
