Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking an LPN to join the OB/GYN nursing team in Syracuse. You’ll work with physicians and PAs to deliver high-quality outpatient care in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, taking vital signs, updating health histories, documenting in EPIC, and preparing exam rooms. The role offers weekday hours, no weekends, and a sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Current New York State LPN license/certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of outpatient medical practice experience (preferred).
• Surgical/outpatient experience (preferred).
• Epic experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients promptly and warmly.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for their appointments.
• Take vital signs and update health history, medication lists, and care team information.
• Answer patient questions or direct them to the appropriate provider.
• Accurately document patient information using EPIC.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• Review the patient schedule and appointment list in EPIC.
• Prepare patient charts before appointments.
• Obtain imaging and laboratory results.
• Coordinate with referring offices for notes and tests.
• Make sure records are available for the physician to review before the patient\'s appointment.
• Keep rooms stocked with supplies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – OB/GYN Nursing Team

Upstate Community OBGYN and Midwiferyis seeking a patient-centered, compassionate, dependable, and team oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)to join our OB/GYN nursing team.

In this role, you’ll work closely with physicians and physician assistants to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional outpatient setting.

Position Highlights:

• Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM (Closed for Lunch 12:00-1:00)
• Pay:$27–$35 per hour, based on experience
• Sign-On Bonus:Available for qualified full-time candidates
• Location:Upstate Community Hospital - 4900 Broad Rd, Syracuse NY
• No Weekends

Your Day-to-Day:

Patient Care
