Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) for PRN days in Greenville, SC to deliver compassionate home health care.

You will verify plans of care with the RN, collaborate with physicians, monitor vital signs, reconcile medications and educate patients and caregivers.

Requirements include 1 year of LPN experience, active LPN license for your state, CPR, a valid driver's license and liability insurance. Benefits include health plans, PTO, wellness rewards, and company matching 401(k).

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license, state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; Notify them promptly when patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review all medications and perform a medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (i.e. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
