Vibra Hospital of southeastern Massachusetts is a 90‑bed critical care hospital located in New Bedford, MA. We provide acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries and offer a fast‑paced, friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, incorporating the nursing process in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. The LPN/LVN shall ensure smooth, organized, and efficient unit function as directed by the Registered Nurse, including unit delegation and supervision of nursing care. Specific components include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality of care, establishing professional relationships, and developing clinical expertise per specialty.

Required Skills
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor.
  • IV certification.
Additional Qualifications
  • One year of clinical experience in a health care setting preferred.
  • Three years medical/surgical experience preferred.
  • One year of area‑specific experience preferred.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
