Geisinger Wyoming Valley Outpatient Specialty Center is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for full-time, dayshift positions with a 40-hour workweek. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates joining ambulatory care teams.

Expect a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on delivering high-quality care. The role involves direct clinical support, patient prep, sampling, and basic nursing duties under provider supervision, with typical clinic hours from 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program—Nursing (Required).
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience (Preferred).
• Licensed Practical Nurse with Basic Life Support certification.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and document patient history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide basic medical data base for provider, and prepare patient for examinations.
• Provide direct clinical care as directed by provider.
• Assist provider in performance of minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations as directed by provider to facilitate accurate diagnosis.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
• Administer medications and vaccines including intradermal and skin testing under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
• Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensure asepsis and readiness of instruments.

Job Duties

The Clinic Nurse provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient and their family to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing of same in medical record to ensure continuity and quality of care. Promotes a clean environment. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range on their assigned clinical area.

This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; Days. Clinic hours are 7:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

New and experienced LPNs are welcome! $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible LPN candidates.

Job Duties

• Executes and documents ongoing patient communication, as directed by provider, prioritizes communication to the provider, responds to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely response to patients needs Administers medications and vaccines including intradermal and skin testing under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
• Cleans and sets up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensures required levels of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patient.
