Geisinger is pleased to hire Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) into our outpatient clinic teams with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates. The role supports providers and families, emphasizing team-based ambulatory care across community-based sites.

This full-time position offers opportunities for growth within a large healthcare system. Qualified candidates will have an LPN license, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and LPN licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical support to the provider, patient, and family to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
• Document patient medical history, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Provide direct clinical care as directed by provider.
• Assist provider in performing minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies.
• Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to provider, respond to patient questions.
• Administer medications and vaccines under direction of a provider.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms between cases and maintain asepsis.

Job Duties

• Provide primary clinical support to the provider, patient, and family to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition; follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing in the medical record.
• Document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Provide direct clinical care as directed by provider.
• Assist provider in performing minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
• Execute and document ongoing patient communication, prioritize communication to provider, respond to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely responses to patient needs.
• Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under the direction of a provider and within scope of practice.
• Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patient.

This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; days are scheduled as per clinic needs.

Education

Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required).

Experience
