Job Summary

Geisinger Convenient Care is a walk‑in clinic that provides quick, convenient healthcare for family health care needs. Services include physicals, immunizations and treatment for common illnesses such as cold, flu, allergies, earaches, urinary infections, tick removal, sprains, strains and minor cuts. Care is available for patients age one and older and the clinic is open 7 days a week.

Job Duties

• Provide primary clinical support to the provider, patient and family to assist in diagnosis and treatment of the patient’s condition.
• Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy and filing in the medical record to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Promote a clean environment and maintain asepsis, availability of instruments and equipment.
• Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs and basic medical data for the provider.
• Assist provider in performing minor surgical and diagnostic procedures and ancillary examinations.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork efficiently.
• Execute and document patient communication, prioritize communication to the provider, and respond to patient questions and requests.
• Administer medications and vaccines, including intradermal and skin testing, under provider direction and within scope of practice.
• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms between cases.

Position Details

Per Diem position with a flex schedule. Clinic hours are Monday‑Friday 8:45AM to 8:15PM and weekends 7:45AM to 6:15PM.

Education and Certifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (Required).
• Basic Life Support Certification (Default Issuing Body).
• Licensed Practical Nurse (Default Issuing Body).

Experience
