The Patriot is seeking licensed practical nurses (LPNs) for flexible PRN and part‑time shifts from 2 PM to 10 PM. You will deliver essential patient care, perform assessments, catheterization, and tubing feedings under the nursing supervisor, while maintaining HIPAA compliance in various clinical settings.

Ideal candidates hold a valid LPN license and BLS, with experience in critical or long‑term care, and proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license and BLS certification are required.
• Experience in patient care and assessment, including catheterization and tube feeding, is essential.
• Proficiency with EHR systems, especially Epic and Cerner.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance is required.
• Background in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living settings is preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse populations is important.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care in multiple settings, primarily via PRN/part-time shifts (2 PM–10 PM).
• Perform catheterization, patient assessments, and administer tube feeding.
• Dispense medications and treatments per physician orders within established time frames.
• Document all medication and treatment administration accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to state care policies and maintain safety and well-being of residents.
• Follow care plans and perform additional duties as assigned.

Summary

As an LPN in a flexible PRN and part-time role, you will provide essential patient care in various settings, primarily from 2 PM to 10 PM. Reporting to the nursing supervisor, your responsibilities will include catheterization, patient assessment, and administering tube feeding, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Your core skills in basic life support and EHR systems will be vital in ensuring high-quality care. With premium experience in critical care and long-term care, you will support patients with diverse needs, contributing to their overall health and well-being in a compassionate manner.

LPN Job Details/Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents (i.e., physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in planning the delivery of care. Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and techniques necessary to care for residents with the following needs: therapeutic, neuro and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, infectious disease, and wound care, if applicable.
• Provides nursing care in accordance with Resident Care Policies and Procedures and ensures the safety and well-being of the residents is maintained.
• Demonstrates expertise in dispensing medications and treatments by all routes as ordered by the Physician within established time frames. Ensures no medications are left unattended.
• Assesses effectiveness and observes for interaction and reaction of medication and treatment. Documents medication and treatment administration in a timely and accurate manner according to Resident Care Policies and Procedures.
• Complies with all State Department codes and requirements regarding nursing care and documentation.
• Additional duties as assigned to follow the Care Plan.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Proficiency in patient care and assessment, including catheterization and tube feeding
• Experience with EHR systems, particularly Epic and Cerner
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance
• Background in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living environments
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities
