Job summary

Nottingham Health and Rehab in Olathe, KS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality nursing care to residents. You will monitor progress, communicate with physicians, and help develop and refine care plans.

Responsibilities include ensuring timely administration of medications and treatments within the LPN scope, maintaining safety standards, and supporting the care team to deliver compassionate, attentive care to residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active LPN license in the state of Kansas.
• Demonstrates compassionate, patient-focused care and clear communication.
• Ability to follow facility policies and procedures precisely.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with state/federal requirements (bloodborne pathogens, materials safety, infection control, fire safety).
• Document and track residents’ progress and communicate with physicians per policy.
• Contribute to development and accuracy of resident care plans.
• Ensure medications and treatments within LPN scope are administered timely and correctly.
• Provide nursing care management to residents and support coworkers.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities

• Monitor staff compliance to all State and Federal requirements including blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety.
• Record and monitor all progress of residents and communicate with physicians according to facility policies.
• Participate in the development, revision, and accuracy of resident care plans.
• Ensure that all medications and treatments within the LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) scope of practice (i.e. IVs, etc.) are administered as ordered and in a timely fashion according to facility policies and schedules.
• Provide management of the nursing care to the residents.
• Perform other duties as required.
