Job summary

UPMC Altoona is hiring a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to support Altoona Family Physicians. The LPN will work with the healthcare team to provide direct patient care, perform injections, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing, with a focus on lab functions. Sign-on bonus available.

Role follows a Monday–Friday daytime schedule, 8:30am–5pm, in a professional clinic setting. Candidates should demonstrate teamwork and professional conduct and maintain CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license and board certification where required.
• Experience providing direct patient care in a clinic or hospital setting.
• Ability to perform injections, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN and team in planning and implementing care plans.
• Provide direct patient care and monitor patient condition.
• Perform injections, take vital signs, and conduct basic diagnostic tests.
• Document patient responses and communicate with RN and team.
