Job summary

Summit Health Management in White Plains, NY seeks an LPN for Internal Medicine. You will welcome patients, prepare them for exams, administer medications, and assist with IV therapy within licensure.

You will collect specimens, maintain clean rooms, and support physicians with documentation and care coordination. The ideal candidate is a graduate of an LPN program with CT licensure, BLS certification, and IV/phlebotomy skills; completion of a competency checklist within 3 months is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of LPN school program.
• Active LPN licensure in Connecticut.
• BLS certified on hire.
• IV and/or phlebotomy skills preferred.
• Completes competency checklist within first 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Prepare patients for exams and procedures.
• Explain treatments, medications, diets, and physicians' instructions.
• Administer medications, IV therapy as allowed by licensure.
• Provide basic patient care such as wound care and catheterizations.
• Collect, label, and process specimens.
• Clean and prepare treatment rooms for visits.
• Enter patient information accurately in the computer.
• Support clerical tasks: appointments, pre-authorizations, phone calls.
