Job summary

Mercy is seeking an LPN to provide patient care using the nursing process under supervision of a licensed provider or RN. You will coordinate patient care with other departments and stay accountable for care quality from shift to shift.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited practical nursing program, hold an LPN license in the hiring state, and maintain BLS. Additional certifications such as ACLS/PALS may be required depending on unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• LPN license in the hiring state and must meet State Board requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or complete within 30 days of hire.
• Note: other certifications may be required (ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., Six Assessment & Care Modules, etc.).
• IV Certification preferred within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed prescriber or RN.
• Utilize the nursing process to plan and deliver care and coordinate with other departments.
• Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care for assigned patients.
