Job summary

Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa, OK seeks a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift (7:00pm-7:00am). You will administer nursing care under physician orders and the care plan, collect data, document accurately, and consult with the RN to plan patient care.

You will participate in in-services, support discharge planning, and contribute to unit goals while upholding quality and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Has completed the prescribed curricula of a practical nursing program or equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse in Oklahoma.
• 0-6 months related experience.
• Knowledge of disease state management and clinical pathways.
• Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care to an assigned group of patients per physician orders and Nursing Care Plan.
• Documents data on the appropriate record with clear and accurate nursing process/care.
• Consults with Registered Nurse to plan patient care.
• Gathers data, implements and evaluates care, and supports discharge planning.
• Addresses patient problems and progress toward outcomes; participates in mandatory in-services and education.

Follows plan of care per policy in presenting patient age and cultural/psychosocial factors. Supports unit/hospital goals through PI and educational activities. Attends mandatory in-services and meets unit education standards. Accurately completes variance reports. Modifies behaviors or performance to comply with care standards and unit requirements.Decision Making: The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from supervisor.Working Relationships: Leads others in same work performed (does not supervise).
