Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to administer nursing care to an assigned patient group. You will plan with the RN, perform direct and indirect care, and document care per orders and the Nursing Care Plan.

The role requires completion of a practical nursing program and an LPN license, with 0–6 months of related experience, in a 7a–7p schedule on a rotating weekends basis within the Orthopedics unit.

Job Summary

Administers nursing care to an assigned group of patients based on physician's orders, nursing care plan and the Oklahoma Board of Nursing Scope of Practice. Consults with registered nurse to plan patient care. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties including data collection.

Minimum Education

Has completed the prescribed curricula of a practical nursing program or has completed equivalent coursework as approved and verified by a state board of nursing and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or certificate therefrom.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification

Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nurse License.

Work Experience

0 - 6 months related experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio- psychosocial model, and clinical pathways. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data. IV therapy medication administration as guided by hospital policy.
