Highland Hospital of Rochester NY is preparing to open a new 20-bed Acute Medicine Unit on East 5 in November 2026. We seek passionate, team-oriented LPNs to join and help shape a fresh, patient-centered unit delivering timely, compassionate care to patients arriving from the ED.

The LPN provides direct patient care under RN supervision, focusing on physical and emotional comfort while collaborating with the health care team to support high-quality acute care in a dynamic environment.

Formación

• Fulfills educational requirements for licensure as an LPN in NYS.
• Licensed in NYS as an LPN.
• Current CPR certification.

Highland Hospital is preparing to open our 20 bed newly renovated Acute Medicine Unit on East 5 in November 2026, and we are looking for passionate, team-oriented nurses to join us!

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new unit, contribute to a positive team culture, and provide exceptional care to patients who need us most. With many patients arriving directly from the ED, our team will play an important role in providing timely, compassionate, high-quality acute care.

The Licensed Practical Nurse in Acute Care (LPN) provides patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The LPN plays an integral role in the physical and emotional comfort of patients and their families. The LPN provides direct patient care in collaboration with other health care team members and completes other tasks to support patient care. The NYS Education Department differentiated scope of practice of LPNs and RNs in the source document used for determining tasks that the LPN may perform.

Pay Range

PAY RANGE: $27.75 - $34.80

• The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
