Job description

You will assist the Registered Nurse in implementing the plan of care for a group of patients and provide quality patient care, modeling behavior exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

What you will do

• Contribute to the nursing assessment by collecting, reporting, and recording objective and subjective data.
• Provide direct care in a safe manner.
• Evaluate the plan of care on a continuous basis.
• Effectively communicate in writing and orally with patients/families and other health team members.
• Participate in activities designed to improve health care delivery in assigned area.

Supervision Provided by this Position

• There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position.

Physical Demands

• Physical activities may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
• Must have good balance and coordination.
• Requires exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
• Requires close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform tasks such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
• Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient contact.
• Exposure to patient body fluids as well as hazardous or poisonous materials.
• Ability to react quickly to emergency situations.
