Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse or LPN-Graduate Nurse Resident to support patient care in Rehabilitation (ARU). This part-time role (12 hours/week) covers 12-hour night shifts, under supervision of licensed clinicians and RNs, with accountability for the nursing process and patient rights.

The position requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license in Missouri.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Physical: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
• Experience: Experience preferred but not required.
• Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit-specific certifications as required.
