Overview of Position:

The LPN administers skilled direct and indirect patient care to an assigned group of patients according to the patient’s plan of care under the direction of the physician or advanced practice provider. The position is required to adhere to universal precautions and is compliant with infection control policies. This incumbent carries out job requirements as delegated by and with the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse.

  • Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of Infectious Disease precautions and use of proper protective equipment
  • Demonstrates Slips/Trips and Falls Awareness.
  • Actively contributes to maintaining a safe, clean and quiet environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  1. 1. May work in an environment with exposure to potentially dangerous/infectious materials and situations that require following extensive safety precautions that may include the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  2. 2. Occasional overtime may be required and/or hours may be shortened as business needs dictate.
  3. 3. Ability to sit, stand, stoop, push, pull, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
  4. 4. Ability to lift 50 pounds to waist level.
