Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Licensure: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements; Comparable education experience and successful licensure may be considered
• Experience: New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire); LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)
• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing and walking throughout shift; Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance; Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.
