Job summary

Riverside Gloucester Orthopedic Specialists in Gloucester, VA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide hands-on nursing care under supervision of the office manager and physicians.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, perform injections and blood draws, review medications, monitor vitals, and assist with care plans across diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required or board-eligible in Virginia or a compact state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assessing planning implementing and evaluating total nursing care of assigned patients. The LPN may work in a variety of settings and roles within Riverside Medical Group providing hands-on clinical care to include manual vitals medication review injections and blood draw. The LPN utilizes communication critical thinking problem solving and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological psychosocial and cultural diversity. The LPN may be responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of specific patient populations served in their assigned unit/dept. Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health system and facility goals and strategic plans.
