Qualifications

• 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics.
• Experience with dementia residents preferred.
• Up to date first aid and CPR certification.
• Current Unencumbered LPN license in the state.
• Knowledge of physiology and psychology of older adults.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Administer quality care to meet residents' total needs.
• Provide medication administration, handling, and storage.
• Assist with medication counts, documentation, and security of carts.
• Maintain medication cart and storage room in order.
• Use nursing judgment to report changes to Wellness Director/physician.
• Observe resident status changes and communicate with the Wellness Director.
