As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at our skilled nursing facility, you'll work alongside medical professionals who share your passion for delivering high-quality care. We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our team, committed to providing exceptional medical care to our diverse patient population.

Objectives of this role

• Deliver a high standard of medical care according to the specific orders of each patient's physician
• Work alongside staff members as part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team
• Follow a model of care that supports the wellness of our patients and staff
• Serve as a primary source of medical information for patients and caregivers
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment of care for patients and their families

Responsibilities

• Taking and monitoring patient vital signs
• Assisting patients with eating, dressing, and bathing
• Administering medication
• Communicating changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians, and family members
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Collecting specimen samples when needed
• Taking an active part in patient care planning
• Overseeing Certified Nursing Assistants and training
• Preparing patients for transfers or discharge
• Assisting in medical procedures
• Managing emergency medical situations

Required skills and qualifications

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility required
• Bachelor's of science degree in nursing
• Licensure as an LPN in the State of Florida
• Basic life support (BLS) certification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred skills and qualifications

• Ability to communicate in more than one language
• One or more years of experience in a nursing home
