Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living at Chardon seeks an LPN to join our Nursing team. The LPN Wellness Nurse assists the Resident Services Director with implementing and coordinating nursing services in the community, with responsibilities including medication administration and direct resident care.

The ideal candidate holds an Ohio LPN license, has at least two years of full-time clinical experience, and enjoys working with older adults.

Qualifications

• LPN licensed to practice in Ohio.
• Two years full-time (or full-time equivalent) clinical experience.
• Experience and/or interest in working with older adults.
• Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, peers, and staff.
• In good health and free of communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Medication administration.
• Direct care and services to residents.
• Teaching and wellness counseling for residents.
• Health promotion activities.
• Assist with assessments under supervision of RN Resident Services Director.
• Support residents and families.
• Oversight of certified nursing assistants.
• Training of associates and auditing of care.

Position Summary:

The LPN Wellness Nurse assists and supports the Resident Services Director with the overall implementation, delivery, and coordination of nursing services in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Medication administration
• Direct care and service to residents
• Teaching and wellness counseling

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State

• Able to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases
