Job summary

Fairmont of Westlake is seeking an LPN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise CNAs under the RN and Director of Nursing. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and adherence to standards in a Montessori-Inspired Living community.

The successful candidate will have active LPN licensure, strong communication skills, and a compassionate approach to senior care, with a focus on quality outcomes for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a LPN.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must show ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in a nursing capacity desirable.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws.
• Knowledge of regulations and guidelines governing long-term care desirable.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities of CNAs as directed by RN/Director of Nursing.
• Ensure the highest degree of quality care in a safe and therapeutic environment.

General Purpose

To provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of Certified Nursing Assistants in accordance with federal, state and local standards governing the facility, and as may be directed by the RN, Director of Nursing Services and Administration, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.
