The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care using the nursing process, demonstrating clinical competence relevant to the area of nursing

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited practical school of nursing.
• One year experience preferred.
• Current LPN license in Missouri or Compact Licensure; GPN must obtain license within 90 days of graduation.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Mansioni

• Follows hospital policies on patient safety to provide care in a safe environment.
• Provides quality nursing care including administration of medications and patient/family teaching.
• Performs assessments to monitor patient status and support clinical decision making.
• Communicates patient information to physicians and team members to improve outcomes.
• Delivers care under supervision and supports teamwork and accountability.
