Qualifications

• LPN licensure required (state license in good standing).
• Experience in nursing care settings preferred.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of the Director of Nursing, develops and implements individualized care plans.
• Assists in orientation and supervision of nursing staff; supports unit operations per shift.
• Performs direct resident assessment and care and coordinates with other staff.
• Supervises nursing personnel in providing direct resident care per state/federal regulations.
• Formulates nursing care plans using the nursing process.
• Daily resident assessment with timely adjustments to care plans as needed.
• Assists physician on rounds and relays orders accurately.
• Participates in training and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Demonstrates leadership and effective communication in conflict situations.
• Maintains composure and efficiency in emergencies.
• Prepares daily assignments, treatments, and tasks.
