Job summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.

Responsibilities include assessing residents, administering medications or treatments as ordered, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with health care professionals to support safety and well‑being in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Possesses or is eligible for LPN licensure; IV therapy/management skills may be required in some locations.
• Initial nursing education includes supervised clinical experience across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for residents in long term care under supervision.
• Perform assessments, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and document outcomes.
• Work within an interdisciplinary team to ensure resident safety, comfort and well‑being.
