Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a flexible Licensed Practical Nurse to join our float team across Wellstar Medical Group practices within a defined region. This full-time role offers variety by rotating through multiple clinics and caring for diverse patient populations.

You will work under the Nurse Supervisor and physician direction, performing exams, treatments, coordinating tests, documenting in medical records, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current/active license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Must have current BLS card from the American Heart Association prior to hire date.
• 2 years of previous healthcare experience required, with 1 year working in an ambulatory/outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• The LPN functions under the direction of the Nurse Supervisor and provides care for the patient under the physician's direction.
• Prepare patients for exams, assist during treatments, coordinate tests and follow-up care, and record treatment in the medical record.
• Assist with patient and family education and perform other duties, as necessary.
