Job summary

Advocate Health in Fort Mill, SC is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time position in our family medicine team. The role includes patient prep, vitals, lab procedures, and assisting physicians during exams and surgeries.

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows OS, and use of electronic mail with exposure to EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting pertinent health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists the physician with procedures and surgeries.
• Administers medications under physician orders and initiates IV therapy as permitted.
• Provides patient education and coordinates referrals and follow-ups.
