Job summary

The Orchards of Saxonburg is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide resident care in a 68-bed nursing home in Saxonburg, PA. The LPN will work 2pm to 10pm on one day a week, delivering medications, coordinating with nursing assistants and maintaining a safe, abuse-free environment.

Qualified candidates hold an LPN certificate, with at least six months of geriatric care experience and must complete annual state training requirements. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Nursing and active practical nursing license.
• At least six months of geriatric healthcare experience.
• Completion of annual state mandated training requirements (in services and external).

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Oversee nursing assistants and report substandard care to the Nursing team lead.
• Receive and provide shift-change reports on resident status and orders.
• Administer controlled substances per policy and verify inventory with licensed staff.
• Maintain documentation of resident conditions, medications and treatments.
• Report changes in resident condition to the Nursing team lead immediately.
