Job summary

Lee Health in Cape Coral, FL seeks a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join the Emergency Services team at Cape Coral Hospital. You will perform and document selected treatments and medications under the guidance of the registered nurse, and assist with health data collection to support timely, high-quality patient care.

This full-time position requires graduation from an approved LPN program, Florida licensure, BLS certification, and IV course competency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a state approved vocational/practical nursing program.
• LPN with experience; must complete competency assessment.
• Current Florida LPN license; BLS certification; 30-hour IV course required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; basic computer literacy; customer service abilities.

Department: Emergency Services

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Shift 1/7:00AM to 7:30PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$22.34 - $29.04 / hour

Summary

Performs and documents selected tasks such as the administration of treatments and medications in delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assist the Register Nurse in collecting health data according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of a state approved vocational/practical nursing program required.

Experience: LPN with experience, Qualified individuals will successfully complete the competency assessment.

Certification: Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. 30-hour IV Course required.

License: Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Florida.

Other: Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
